  4.   The GEN7 system consists of the following:

  24. The GEN7 Desktop program (0) is used with each of the others (1-8),
  25. but the data sets are different.  Each program should be in a
  26. separate directory.  Note that these are programs for evaluation,
  27. and run separately, so each directory should have the GEN7 Desktop
  28. program within it also.  Note also that it is possible to run the 
  29. programs with only one copy of GEN7 after the separate modules are 
  30. registered.  This approach was taken to minimize the amount of disk 
  31. space required to hold these data sets.

  33. To install these programs (if you do not have a distribution disk 
  34. with an install program on it), first copy GEN7G21.EXE and the 
  35. desired data set to the directory that will be their home.  Next
  36. type:
  37.  
  38.         GEN7G21 or G7G21
  39.  
  40. followed by:
  41.  
  42.         GEN7??21 or G7??21
  43.  
  44. where the ?? is one of the two characters defined in the above
  45. list.  Answer yes to any questions about overwriting existing
  46. files.  Make sure that GEN7HD21.EXE is on at least one disk
  47. shipped, for every shipment.  The help data is required to
  48. run GEN7, but because of the sizes of the files, this one piece
  49. was put into its own data set (GEN7G21 fits on one 360k disk).

  51. System Requirements:
  52.  
  53.    * 100% IBM PC, XT, AT, PS/1, PS/2 compatible with
  54.      DOS 4.0 or better.
  55.    * EGA or VGA graphics adapter and any type monitor.
  56.    * A Mouse is required, but the cursor keys may be
  57.      used to move the pointer also.
  58.    * A fixed disk is highly recommended, but a high 
  59.      density drive will work.
  60.    * The CONFIG.SYS must contain: FILES=40, or greater.
  61.    * At least 512K of RAM (Approx. 490k of free space).
  62.    * It works nicely even on an XT (8088), but it is 
  63.      not as quick to startup, and some functions are slow.
  64.    * The Voice Module will only work with a 286 10MHz
  65.      processor, or better.
